The writing style seems a bit juvenile even for YA. It did make me struggle to suspend my disbelief several times. I really like the idea of this novel, and I think it has the potential to be absolutely adorable. The first look doesn't cover how old the protagonists are, but it almost felt more like middle grade.
I think this novel will probably work best for a younger YA audience. The cover is super cute and seems to capture the heart of the novel pretty well, but the writing inside just wasn't quite up to par with what I was expecting.
