The cover art of this book drew me in right away. It looks like a cute romance and I do enjoy a book centered around cooking. After reading the first impression, I'm not that blown away by the author's personal writing style and feel like the sentences erred on telling and not showing the reader on several instances. I am however drawn to the competing bakeries and deeply seated familial drama that was evident from the opening pages.
