This book was a refreshing palate cleanser at a time when I really needed a book that was fun and sweet. Roomies is a romance with a smart (though somewhat floundering) heroine and a sexy, Irish-accented, guitar playing love interest (what could be better?). The plot of the story is fairly predictable, with the conflicts and pitfalls being exactly what readers will expect (but as is often the case with romance, there's comfort in knowing what to expect). It's a charming story with characters that are enjoyable to read. Focusing the story on a musician and a Broadway musical gave the story a setting that was quite fun to read as getting a "backstage" look is always appealing, and it was something a little bit different.
