I have yet to read any of Christina Lauren's books, but the concept of a fake marriage and a friends-to-lovers relationship was too hard to pass up! Even with just the first few chapters, I couldn't help but root for the main character, Holland, right away because I felt an immediate connection towards her: young woman who is an aspiring writer, in her twenties, and feels a bit lost as she's trying to figure out her future. Hit really close to home.

The writing style was easy to follow and really engaging. Since its told in Holland's point of view, her personality really shines through in the narration, so that's probably why I enjoyed it so much.

I'm really looking forward to reading the whole book! It seems like a perfect rom-com story!
