First let me say-I absolutely adored both the H & h, and I love a marriage of (in?)convenience trope.
Calvin and Holland’s story is sweet, romantic, and fun, with the necessary drama required to build a good story.
However,
I do have a couple...tiny complaints. Let’s call them complaintlets? Wishes? Things I would’ve liked to have seen done differently?
1) I feel like it needed to be a bit slower of a burn. It seemed to start that way, but then it felt at other times like things were happening in a rush without quite enough buildup.
2) The final conflict should’ve happened a little earlier, or the book should’ve gone a little longer. The end felt abrupt, which was a bit of a disservice to the whole story that had been built thus far. Then when I turned the page and there wasn’t even a short epilogue, I was even more bummed.
Overall I enjoyed reading it. I loved the characters and the overall storyline. There were a couple times I burst out laughing, and *plenty* of times that I swooned in my chair.
