Roomies starts out with a chance meet cute in a subway station. Calvin is basking for cash with his guitar in a subway station and Holland goes to watch him perform. She is attacked on the platform and injured, but Calvin places an anonymous call to 911 to make sure she receives the care she needs.
Holland goes out with a friend a few days later to see a cover band and accidentally runs into Calvin again. Clearly the universe knows the two of them need to form a connection.
I appreciate the easy dialogue so far in the novel. Christina Lauren always does an amazing job with dialogue that feels natural but also enjoyable.
I'm excited to see the relationship between Calvin and Holland grow and develop throughout this novel. The two characters are in different places in their life and I want to see how they navigate that part of their story. Can't wait to read more!
