I am not too big of a fan of romance novels. However, I am a fan of "forced marriages" resulting in actual love. Such is the case with Holland and Calvin. Forced into marriage so he can remain in New York. But, living in such close proximity with one another (roommates), allows their infatuation with one another to blossom into love. However much they deny it, they know what is to be true: they love each other.
These stories are predictable by nature, especially knowing that they get married and Holland's infatuation with Calvin grows beforehand. However, it still makes for a great story. The characters are relate-able and you're pulling for them from the get go. Good writing and a good story go hand in hand, and Christina Lauren hit the mark.
