I've never read any of Christina Lauren's romance books and I ended up hooked on this story from the beginning. There was something attention grabbing about this one and it's probably the humor. I can already imagine fans of this author's work reading this one with a huge smile on their faces.
The author's a good writer so even if the story wasn't exactly believable to me, I ended up liking it. It's a fun romantic comedy with unbelievable twists. The characters are realistic (as well as their circumstance), except their meet-cute. Besides this, the dynamics of the main ship were freaking adorable.
The pacing was a bit slow but the comical aspects of the novel makes up for it. "Roomies" was a sweet romance with more comedy than drama. I'd recommend this to fans of "Gossip Girl."
