What a wonderful read! As always, the duo that is Christina Lauren (Christina Hobbs and Lauren Billings) have delighted with this “laugh out loud” NYC romance. Holland Bakker is an every girl just getting along in the big city with the loving support of her uncle and his husband. Her hot crush is Calvin, a street musician, that she saves by coordinating his dream job – unwittingly becoming his dream girl, too. At each new discovery they fumble around until finally “it” clicks – yep, and it is pretty crazy and seems so sweet.
The humor that is dispersed throughout their relationship and the book is the reason I keep Christina Lauren on my “must read” list. When the phrase “venison sausage” is uttered – I literally spit my out coffee laughing out loud! Roomies is a fun read and the characters are all so well thought out they could each have their own spin off. Enjoy!
