Adult romance is not a genre I typically read, but I make an exception for Christina Lauren! I was first drawn to the duo's writing through Autoboyography, which remains my favorite of their books. I loved Autoboyography so much that I decided to try giving one of their adult books a chance - and this was the one I had on hand.

The story was a fun one! I really appreciated that the story touches upon a topic that is really relevant for a lot of people living in the U.S. - namely, immigration law. It's always a bonus when a book manages to bring attention to an important subject without being didactic. As for the story itself, it was a fun read! I liked both Holland and Calvin and enjoyed their story. It's not too heavy, despite the subject matter. I'd recommend it as a fun summer read.

I received a finished copy of Roomies for free in a book subscription box that I repped for on Instagram. No review was required.
