This humorous romance set in modern day New York has a lot of appeal. Most of the characters are well-rounded and relatable. The plot moves at a leisurely, but not too leisurely pace, and not all of the plot is centered on the romance, which is refreshing.

My only critique is that for about three quarters of the book, Calvin seems a little too perfect. Then suddenly some major character flaws are revealed, which don't seem to match up with the Calvin we've known up to that point and the flaws feel as though they were manufactured just to serve the plot.

Overall, though, I think that most fans of somewhat spicy modern romances will find this well-written, funny book an easy and enjoyable read.
