Roomies is a fun, flirty contemporary romance set in the NYC theater scene. It takes a beloved romance trope - marriage of convenience - in a very modern and fresh direction. Calvin and Holland are complex, flawed characters that quickly pulled me into their story. I felt the authors did an especially nice job of conveying the indecision and angst of a mid-20's adult in that post-college time, of discovering who you are in the next stage of life. The story is comic at times, then undercut with bittersweet senses of longing and uncertainty. It feels honest and real. Supporting characters are well done and added to the story. The writing style has an easy flow and readability.

4-4.5 stars. A few things kept me from a 5 star rating, but I consider Roomies another winner from Christina Lauren. I enjoyed it.
