The opening definitely grabs the reader. You can understand her impatience with the people trying to help her in the subway and the writing gets you into the characters well. But for now, only three stars to see where the writing goes. The plot is seems to be fairly predictable-guy saves girl, girl helps guy out in multiple ways-job, marriage for green card (really? these days?) and they're the last to realize that the marriage of convenience is true love. You do like the characters which keeps you reading. But while I'd keep reading from a library borrowed book on a rainy day or on my commute as a paperback or as an e-book, I'm not sure that I'd purchase it as a hardback. Honestly, I'd leave the pb on the plane/bus/train after I was done reading it.
