I’m always interested in reading anything by Christina Lauren. I had the chance to read the first couple pages of Roomies through BookishFirst and was sucked in. It had music, a guy with an Irish accent, and the promise of romance. I was sold and wanted to read more. Then I won a copy and dived right in when I got it in the mail.
The beginning of this novel has a lot of mystery which is what hooked me. It was the unraveling of those tidbits that made this novel worth reading. The writing itself is great. The characters and scenes come alive with the writing, they grow with the novel. I was invested in the story and the music. I even went on YouTube and searched some of the classical guitar songs and became more heavily involved with Calvin’s music through listening to it.
This is a must-read.
