My very first romance novel was a Marriage of Inconvenience by Georgette Heyer. Forty-five years later, I still love the marriage of convenience trope. Add an Irish hero, who rescues the heroine, and the book is pretty much an automatic purchase. Roomies have humor and romance. Holland, the heroine, is appealing with her crush on the talented and hot guitar player at the subway station. Calvin is a man of mystery and the reader wants to know his secrets.
