This is clearly a book with a tremendous sense of place. The first chapters are vivid depictions of life in Manhattan, including a lot of very accurate scenes in a subway station, and the main character's place of employment, which is an off-Broadway theater! Holland, the main character, is tremendously relatable and funny, and Calvin, who it looks like will be her love interest, is totally dreamy (Irish accent and all!) and mysterious. The writing is really evocative and I can't wait to immerse myself in Holland and Calvin's world.
