Although I have never been one to collect comics myself, I find them extremely interesting and I love comic book movies. This book was great because it gave me a deeper understanding of what happened in the second age of comics and how a lot of the heroes I know today came to be. I loved the cover art and all the fun facts about the comics and what they sold for because that really tells you how much people love comics. I also loved reading the author's own feelings toward certain comics and what he remembered about going to the store to buy them. I really wish I had had a hobby like this when I was younger. I really hate that I missed out on a lot of great comic book arcs and a lot of really good stories in their first printings. I know I can still get them now and read them, but it would still be fun to see them for the first time and not know what was to come.
Bottom line: This was a great book and a fun read. If you like comic books at all, you should pick this one up and give it a read.
