As a casual fan of Marvel and DC comics, I haven't delved that far into their vaults of many, many, MANY comics. Unfortunately, I've really only read the more recently released series, so I was thrilled to receive a copy of this book to learn more about my favorite superheroes. I was incredibly impressed, too.
David W. Tosh did a great job explaining the cultural impact of superheroes during the Silver Age of comics, as well as well as during recent years. He collected some great photos, as well, and I loved seeing the past costumes superheroes wore.
Overall, Rise of the Superheroes was an informative and beautifully edited book, and I really enjoyed reading it. I would recommend it to any fellow superhero fan!
