This was a must read for me. I recently started reading graphic novels, and I loved the history of earlier comics.

Heroes fought criminals, all around bad guys, hostile governments - think Communism, and aliens. So much fantasy and imagination!

My first impression was that I was drawn to the colors, the graphics, the artistry. But as I kept reading, I let myself appreciate the story of superhero comics, dare I say cartoons.

This could be a fun and colorful coffee table book. If I'm feeling generous, I might pass my copy along to an appreciative family member. It was my family that persuaded me to give graphic novels a chance, so I guess I owe them a favor!

David Tosh is a true fan of superheroes, and his book shows this appreciation.
