Although I would not usually select an illustrated book on super heroes for my personal library, I was pleased and surprised when notified that I had won a copy. When it arrived, I was blown away - first by the cover, then by the contents. The colors and the juxtaposition of print and illustration, make this book a feast for the eyes and imagination. It seems to be well researched and well indexed, making this a valuable resource for the serious comic book collector. It would be a wonderful gift for the adventurous book collector. Not for everyone, but much of the joy of books is matching the right book to the right reader. And when that happens, it is a magical experience. This book offers that possibility.
