Truth be told, I've never really been that interested in comics, but I like that this excerpt writes about the history of the field in a way that is understandable and interesting even for someone like myself who doesn't know much about the topic. The super bright artwork included as examples and support for the writing obviously only enhances the reading experience. I imagine this would be an even better reading experience for someone who already is a fan as it does an interesting job contextualizing the emergence of the genre.
