I confess to not having been much into comics as a kid, but I did occasionally read them. My two sons, however, were always fans of both DC and Marvel comics. Both are grown, and both still collect comic books (and the action figures!). I looked at this First Impression more out of interest as gifts for my sons, and so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this sneak peak. The book is put together in chronological order. The writing style is engaging, and there are a ton of full-color images accompanying the segments. This is definitely a perfect gift for collectors, as well as a fun read for those of us with a more casual interest.
