This looks like it's more of a book for people interested in the deeper history of the various characters in the comics rather than just a casual fan. I think you'd learn a lot about the history of comics from this book, but I don't know if I'd recommend it to someone who's just starting out reading comics. I think it's more of a book for comic book lovers, but I'd definitely recommend it to them!
