Replenishing the Sea of Galilee is a decade spanning love story as well as a story about family. it is full of grief as well, which is where the title derives from.
i found the writing to be difficult at times. it was hard to really dive into this culture and the way they talk about women - i found the main character rude and abrupt when dealing with women - especially his sister.
other than that it was a nice read, easy to read, engaging, felt compelled to keep reading to see what happened. had an interesting twist which i didn't expect the book to have.
despite all of this - for such a quick book it did take me a while to read it as i couldn't get past the almost monotone and robotic narration. the only in depth sections of the story were the sex education scenes, of which i really didn't need as it did not drive the story - just played an insignificant part.
