I wanted to love this more than I did. I enjoyed learning about different cultures and also loved the characters just falling in love without worrying about what religion they were or what nationality. Love is love and that was my favorite part of this book. What I didn't like, it was quite fast paced. They just moved on from one story to the next so quickly and I felt like we didn't really get to explore much of the relationships in depth. And along with that, it mostly read like a sex manual. I understand they were using the Muslim religion as a basis for how they enjoyed sex but it just kind of got monotonous and repetitive. I also was a little disturbed at Father Federico's role in this whole thing. I understand he was trying help Rasheed but it was pretty weird. I also did not enjoy the ending with Omar, Christina and Janice. It felt rushed and unrealistic. It was kind of like watching a ping pong match, that's the best I can explain it.
