Not for me, but sounds great for a book club

I am not much into sweeping family epics. So I don't think this book is for me. But it reads and the description sounds like something I would recommend for various book clubs to look into. It has that historical appeal, a bit of a love story, and a bit of tragedy. Right up most book clubs alley.
