Like listening to a traveler tell a story

I want to first say that usually I do not read family generation stories but they are something I want to get into more. What I first noticed about this book was the way the writing felt it was a storyteller telling me the story. I could picture myself sitting around a campfire while he whispered this tale. AND IT CAUGHT ME BY SURPRISE. Now I am actually intrigued by this book and would love to pick it up!
