Historical fiction set in Palestine

Replenishing the Sea of Galilee is historical fiction set in Palestine. Off the bat, it seems as if it will be a painful story filled with longing and heartbreak. I wasn't expecting this to be a middle grade or YA novel, but the sentence structure seems suited to younger readers.

The cover is a pretty color, I assume meant to evoke the sea.
