Even though I'm extremely particular about the historical fiction I read I wanted to give this a shot but I do have several issues with this book in only two chapters. Not sure if English isn't the authors first language but the writing is very stilted, the constant repeating of names & relation is unnecessary after already being told the father's name the first time. The biggest issue I have, possibly since this isn't my culture I guess, but I don't want to read about authority figures wanting to watch or teach sexual techniques especially with parties being unaware of being observed. Felt horrified for the young women who had no idea as well as Rasheed being pressured into the situation...
