I read a lot of thrillers so I figured I already knew where this story was headed, but I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the set up for the beginning and already felt like the mystery took a twist from similar books. I liked the idea of this turning into a bit of a private investigator thriller and was immediately on the edge of my seat.

The plot progresses really quickly so anticipate a page turner and if you’re ok with dark thrillers, make sure to carve out time to read this in one or two sittings. This is the second book in the series, but there is enough lead it to remind readers or provide enough background on book one. Though if the first is anything like the second, I recommend picking them both up and reading the pair!

A gritty crime book with a dark and eerie cover to match!
