I felt a bit off kilter at the opening scene of this book. Realizing that it was book two of a series, I was afraid I’d need to read the first book. I soon, however, slipped into the story and couldn’t put the book down! Candice Fox swept me into the lives of Amanda and Ted. Neither has a spotless reputation, however, Ted is completely innocent. They are both called into a crime scene which ends up being worked by Amanda whilst Ted goes to visit his daughter. What starts as a simple visit ends up being a page turning, edge of your seat desperation to clear his name in the sexual assault of Claire Bingley.
