I listened to the audio book of Redemption Point. Typically I really enjoy listening to narrator's with accents, but I really did not enjoy this male narrator's version of female character's voices.

Redemption Point is book two in the Crimson Lake series. I have not read book one and I do not feel like I was missing anything by not reading book one first. However, I don't think I will go back and read book one since book two spoils the plots of book one. I probably shouldn't have read them out of order.

There are two main characters: Ted is an ex-police officer and Amanda is a convicted murderer who has served her time. They have teamed up together as private investigators. The book centers around a case that they were hired to solve and Ted's accusation that has cost him position as a police officer. I liked Ted's character, but I cannot decide about Amanda. I am not sure if it was the narrator's voice that skewed my opinion of Amanda.

Redemption Point is a crime thriller that didn't have too many surprise twists, but I did enjoy learning about how the story-lines played out.
