Ted Conkaffey was accused of a crime against a young girl. While released, he is neither guilty or innocent (though he claims innocent) and has resettled in Crimson Lake. This is book 2 of a series, and I think it would be a good idea to read the series in order. The writing is engaging, and I want to lose myself in the story. While he tries to acquit himself, he is also working as a private investigator with a partner in Crimson Lake. Interesting characters and interactions. Looking forward to reading more!
