I haven't read the first book in the series, but so far, it seems like that may not even be a necessity - it takes a talented writer to pull you into an ongoing story and Candice Fox has certainly done that here.
The characters seem very well fleshed out, with perfect pacing and enough suspense to make you want more. I can't wait to read it!
