This was an excellent murder mystery story! I was so hooked on this, I finished it in one afternoon! Every single chapter had me suspicious of someone new, so much that I was even considering the idea that we had a bunch of unreliable narrators going around. As everyone drops their opinions or eyewitness accounts, including our three suspects, you start crafting crazy theories as to who could have done it and why. At one point I was suspecting the janitor, and there wasn't even a janitor character to suspect!! I was absolutely obsessed with finding out who did it and why! This book was billed as The Hate U Give meets One of Us is Lying, and they are NOT joking! I normally hate when books are advertised as one famous franchise meets another, but this description absolutely fits this time! It has the same social justice feel of THUG that makes you want to scream and throw the book because of the unfairness of it all, but also the crazy, twisty murder mystery that makes you second guess every potential suspect and wonder what really happened, like you felt in OoUiL. This one is going to be a HUGE hit for 2023! Pick up your copies, everyone!
