This book has a great mystery happening right from the beginning. I enjoyed the different perspectives and was fast pace. I think for young readers the short chapters will keep focus and help them want to know more. The author does a great job giving subtle clues in the beginning about the other suspects that were not provided in the first look. The details made me feel like I was watching a show or was in the story. I enjoyed the transcript and also reading the adult's POV. I also liked how we heard the suspects point of view as well and it was switching to different time periods in the book. It really captured my attention and made reading the beginning a breeze! It already had me thinking who could have committed the murder right from the beginning. I am interested to see how it continues and would definitely continue to read and recommend to my students.
