This book follows 3 boys from the Urban Promise Prep School in DC, where no talking is allowed and all rules must be followed or there’ll be a deduction in the amount of points each student receives.
These 3 boys: J.B., Ramon, and Trey are suspected for the murder of their principal. Who did it? This books has articles, transcripts from tv clips, text messages, interrogations, and points of views from the 3 boys and each of their inner circles.
I loved the style and format this book was a great read as it flowed really well and it was a new (to me) approach to see many perspectives. I wasn’t the happiest with who killed the principal, but it did make somewhat sense. I wish there was more information and the perspectives to give the readers a hint of who did it. I did like the very end of the book though!! I did like how the book shows just how quick people of color are accused of crimes. It shows the social injustices, which I hope others are able to see when they read the book.
