I loved the audiobook - it’s a full cast with a different narrator for every POV and fit the book perfectly. Loved the inclusion of background noise too, it was done in a way that didn’t distract at all from the narrative. I had the physical copy home from the library and ended up using it only for pictures.

It did take me awhile to get into the story. After a really strong opening chapter, the first half of the book was mostly background info on the three MCs which made for a slower pace and I wish there had been a bit more focus on the murder instead. I will say that the extensive background info did make for a more emotional journey than I expected when I started this.

Things do pick up in the second half of the book though and I enjoyed seeing the way everything unfolded. It really doesn’t compare to anything I’ve read before, but I would say it feels a bit like One of Us is Lying meets Ace of Spades.

The social commentary was brilliantly done and was interwoven realistically into the story without feeling preachy. I highly recommend this one and definitely would encourage you to go the audiobook route!
