The story takes us inside a prestigious school, the Urban Promise Boys prep, that outwardly works with at risk youth facing poverty, gangs, and limited resources and turns them into upstanding, successful young men.
But there's something not quite right about the principal of the school.
One day after regular classes have ended, the principal is murdered in his office. There are three main suspects - JB, Ramon and Trey.
All three had motives as each had had a run in with Principal Moore leading up to his death. All three had a connection to the murder weapon - one bringing it to the school accidentally, another finding it and hiding it - fearing a school attack, and the last taking it but then not using it. However all three claim and seem to be innocent. They work together, along with a few friends, to track down the real killer and to avoid being arrested.
The deeper you go the darker the school's mission gets.
