A thrillingly unique and fast-paced YA mystery told from multiple perspectives and with other written sources (transcripts/articles) mixed in. I would love to see (hear?) how they handled these features in the audio book.
The many perspectives added a truth depth to the story and provided insight into how multiple people could "see" the same thing but all leave feeling and thinking differently about what happened and how these different perspectives are always straight up wrong and lies but just different perspectives and understandings (that may have been influenced by a specific character's biases).
This book also tied in current issues around race and the US justice system in a way that feels sadly too real and indisputable.
Generally, a powerhouse of a book that should be read by all.
