I'm not sure if PROMISE BOYS is the right YA book for me. The cover doesn't strike my fancy. The synopsis didn't catch my attention in the way that other books have. The sample First Impression was okay. I liked that there were multiple narrators as that can make a book very interesting when you get to see multiple characters' perspectives, however, I wonder if there are too many narrators in this case. The writing seems appropriate for a youth audience and also adults that enjoy reading YA. While I wouldn't likely purchase PROMISE BOYS right away, I would borrow it from the library to give it a try.
