This first look just wasn't capturing my attention the way I needed it to either. It also starts in the heat of the moment (with a murder), but it just didn't compel me to read more. I think perhaps this one would work well for a younger YA audience, but it just didn't reel me in. The cover is interesting and uncomfortable, which appears to be the point, but I'm not a fan. I wouldn't read more to find out what happens next.
