I was immediately drawn to the bold and striking cover and the title. "Promise" has become a loaded word to me when it comes to education because so often students are told they have promise but the people around them don't recognize the obstacles they are up against. I love the format of a lot of different firsthand accounts surrounding the murder of a teacher. Can't wait to read more!
