This is a heavy subject and the writing treats it as such. It was difficult to read the excerpt, with all of the people giving their 'statements' -- opinions about the school, the principal, the boys, most of it based on nothing but hearsay and rumor and prejudice. There was so much prejudice and racism in those statements that it made me cringe. I'm sure if I could force myself through it it would be incredible, but there's no way I can bring myself to read it. It would weigh me down and make me despair.
