I love how this book's narrator, the protagonist is named Daniel, sounds like a real person. He does not sound overly superficial or too old or too much like a kid. That always annoys me when a young adult book is obviously written by an adult who does not know how to write the way a child or young adult thinks. This book handles it well!

I also admire the ratio of dialogue to internal thoughts. There are not ridiculously long passages of internal dialogue that get all existential and awkward. The dialogue is sweet and sounds like a real conversation, which I also really admire in this book.

I've heard only good things about this book. So far, it has lived up to all my expectations.
