I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this book for a good half of it. The way it was written with all sorts of flashbacks and stuff kept confusing me, but I am so glad I kept reading. Everything once all the secrets began to be revealed really came together so powerfully. This book is one I'll think about for long after I've finished it, and I'm really glad I've read it. It really made me cry. I was confused at first when the small sections about the sister started to emerge in the book, but those were also really well done and I loved the way everything fit together. Kelly Loy Gilbert clearly thought this through and did an excellent job crafting this book. I am excited to read more books from her.
