Picture Us in the Light was a heartwarming coming of age novel featuring an awesome cast of characters who learn to grow from one another. They have a complex set of histories and present stories and I loved how the author delved into these stories, allowing the reader to better understand these people, where they came from, and where they are going. Plus I liked how it featured an Asian American protagonist, as those books are difficult to find. An even though the main character was Asian American, I feel as though the issues that the characters have to deal with in this novel are relatable to any reader, so any reader will be able to find a way to identify with these characters. Also that cover is just gorgeous!
