I hate doing this, but I got this book for my sophomores. I have a class library, and I’m constantly trying to find books they want to read.
I was excited when this book arrived. I knew just who should read it. Well, I gave her the book; she read it, but her response was mediocre. She didn’t like it. It wasn’t what she wanted or thought it to be. It didn’t hold her interest.
She sped through it, but didn’t offer anything other than “it’s not for me. Maybe someone else will enjoy it.” We have a no spoilers rule in my classroom, so that’s all the details she could provide.
However, I’m keeping the book in my library. Hopefully, someone else will read it, and fall love with it and it’s charactets.
