Overall this is a good book. I think that if I liked this genre of love stories more it would have been a better read. I really enjoyed the story of Danny and his struggles as a second generation immigrant. That part of the story was very compelling and kept me reading along with the twists and turns as he learns more about his family and their past. The love story isn't too overbearing, but I could have done without it.
This story has a great premise and keeps you reading, but for some reason the writing style seemed to drag at times and I noticed myself being less interested with the book. I put it down and came back to it multiple times before I finally finished it. I am glad I read it and I feel like it was an inspiring book, but it wasn't a stay up all night reading to fi ish type of book.
