Character forward with a ton of detail

I really enjoyed this opening to what I imagine is a much, much bigger story. The initial description of entangled atoms is an amazing starting piece to what seems to be a very character driven novel. The details about Danny, the mysterious death of his sister, his family's relationships and his slow recognition of his feelings about his friend Harry all make you feel like you know these characters. Although the plot hasn't really gotten going yet, there are a lot of questions I have and I already find myself rooting for Danny and wanting to know more.

I love the cover, which promises more from the street/installation artist we meet in the beginning as well.
